Legera Danielides is trained in classical voice but skilled in an array of genres, including jazz and music theatre. Legera received her bachelors at Stetson University for voice (2007) and her Masters at DePaul University for voice(2014).
She has sung in both Europe and the US and made her international debut at the Oslo Opera house (2017) singing the role of Petra in Sondheim's, A Little Night Music.
Other notable roles include Fosca (2018) in Stephen Sondheim’s musical, Passion (New York City) Karin, (2018) in Drew Jansen’s musical Church Basement Ladies, Zia (2019) in Ciao Bambino, (New York City) and Lucy Barrow McIntire (2019) in the world premier of Michael Ching's opera Anna Hunter (Savannah, Georgia). In 2023, Legera made her televised nation-wide debut singing the National Anthem for the Sacramento Kings basketball game. She has also sung with prestigious companies and houses such as Carnegie Hall (2021, 2022) The Aspen Music Festival (2015), the Savannah Voice Festival(2018-19) VoicExperience (2019-2020,) Musica Nelle Marche Opera House in Italy, Spotlight on Opera in Texas, and First Coast Opera in Florida.
In 2023 through early 2024, Legera took to performing solo gigs around the United States which inspired her to create her first album set to be released in Spring 2025. Notables include regular performances at Sierra Club in Mammoth, California, RAD in Asheville, North Carolina, Boutz Vineyards in Paso Robles, California, Battery Park Book Exchange, Asheville, North Carolina.
Currently based in Asheville, Legera is a private voice and piano teacher at The Music Academy of Asheville while also pursuing solo work.
